14 and a half weeks

Time flies when you're expecting. I'm officially into my second trimester and things are going well. My morning sickness is gone and I can stay up until almost 9:30 at night without a nap during the day. I'm getting over a very bad chest cold/flu that's lasted two weeks. I haven't been that sick since I was pregnant with Rachel. Ah, the joys of pregnancy.

I went to my 14 week check-up with Rachel last Friday. She was very squirrelly at the midwife's office and I'm not sure I'll take her again. She did have a good time though. She got to play with a baby doll and sit next to me while we listened to the baby's heartbeat. When we could finally hear it she perked up and said, "That's the new baby." It was very cute.

Friday night while I was lying in bed I felt my baby move. It was very exciting. Then last night before bed I felt it again. It's hard to believe I'm that far along already. We have an ultrasound scheduled in four weeks. I'm looking forward to getting a peek at my baby.
