nearly 18 weeks

I'm coming up on 18 weeks and am due for another prenatal appointment this Wednesday and have an ultrasound scheduled this Friday. Already I have moved on to the next stage of pregnancy complaints: backache, heartburn, having to pee all the time, and hunger (to name a few). I'll wake up in the middle of the night with my stomache growling and it's hard to get back to sleep. The pillows are already taking over the bed too. It's a good thing that Chuck only has to deal with that on the weekends. I aquired some maternity clothes from a friend and my sister-in-law that will help round out my wardrobe. Because I was so much bigger to start with during my previous pregnancy, a lot of my maternity clothes don't fit at all. I started wearing maternity pants last week because my buttons wouldn't close. I think I'll be in maternity shirts by next week; my shirts are starting to look short because my chest and belly are getting bigger.

Chuck and I went shopping at the Babies R Us while we were visiting my brother this weekend. We came home with a new crib mattress (and some odds and ends) and we ordered a crib and dresser. I feel like we accomplished a lot. The next step will be to clean out the baby's room and get it painted. I'd like to do this before Chuck's mom and sister visit in May. We have two months, but time seems to go so fast.
