So after practicing for quite some time now, Rachel finally can say Grandma - sort of. She says Ga-mahna as in Mahna-Mahna. It's too cute.

100 things that delight me

At my parent connection group last Tuesday in honor of Valentine's day, we discussed the things we really enjoy about our children. The moderator gave us a print out of some excerpts from Christine Kane's blog listing her "100 Ways to be Delighted." Being the curious person I am, I looked her up when I got home and she's got some good content on clutter control too. Anyhoo, I decided to compile my own list. In no particular order:

1. The smell of sawdust back stage
2. When a dog’s ear gets flipped inside-out
3. Kissing my daughter’s neck
4. Trees
5. Date night at the bookstore
6. Watching John Smith perform – if heaven existed, that’s how it would feel
7. Strawberry shortcake – Yum!
8. The delight my daughter takes in learning a new word
9. Dog smiles
10. My husband’s big, blue, childlike eyes

another wintery day in Wisconsin

We've gone through just about all the winter weather we can for today. We've had rain, snow, sleet and lightning too. I just printed off some coloring pages to help keep us busy today. Hopefully we do not go too stir crazy. I'm really looking forward to spring when it will be easier to get outside more often.
